Fund Overall Goal

The Howard G. Buffett Foundation’s mission is to catalyze transformational change to improve the standard of living and quality of life, especially for the world’s most impoverished and marginalized populations. Their funding is mostly allocated to three main areas: food security, conflict mitigation, and public safety.

Sectoral Focus

Focus on food security (agricultural resource development and management for smallholder farmers in developing world, e.g., research, conservation-based production practices, water resource management), conflict mitigation (helping bring end to active conflict and supporting communities affected by conflict), and public safety.

Does not accept unsolicited proposals or provide general operating support.
